Quinn In the Community
Hey guys! Paula Quinn with RE/MAX Central here and I’ve got Christina Johnson with Christina Johnson Photography and we’re here at the Shoppes of Little Falls in her studio. And we’re gonna find out some of the things that she does in and around our community as part of her photography.
Hey Christina, tell us a little bit about Christina Johnson Photography and what that’s all about and what you do.
I really do all kinds of photography. I do newborns, babies, children, families, graduates, weddings, engagements, all kinds of family events.
Wow you were doing a lot of stuff, so tell me a little bit and the rest of us a little bit about why you got into photography and what you love about that, what keeps you going and enjoying it so much?
It was always a hobby of mine and my mom was showing off photos of one of my daughters who was a baby at the time at work. And one of her coworkers had asked me to at that time do her wedding. Which…
Wow!
Yeah at that time it was a hobby. I was working in Brainerd at a marketing agency and I said no, I can’t do that and she kept kind of asking, come on I just really want just a few nice photos it’s not a big deal at all and finally I agreed to do it. And then I found out that she was having six bridesmaids, six groomsmen.
Oh boy!
At the St. Mary’s church in Little Falls. So, I really dug into it at that point, loved it and still really had no intention of becoming a photographer but while we were looking through their wedding photos her mom said Christina you should do this and that’s kind of what sparked that.
Wow, love it. That’s a really good story and it’s amazing ’cause a lot of stories are like that. People just fall into it. So once you got into it, tell me what you love about it today, why you keep doing it today.
I love meeting new people and I love capturing all of their events, I mean I’ve been doing this for 14 years. So I’ve gotten the chance to take photos of families at all different stages, when they’re children, all the way…
Littles.
Yep all the way into high school graduation, those kids have come back and I’ve done their weddings.
Wow!
So it’s just having that connection with clients is really my favorite part of it.
Living vicariously.
Yeah exactly.
Christina I know you’ve always got a lot of really great promotions going on and things that you’re doing for photography. Is there anything that you’d want to let everybody out there kind of know about right now?
Sure we are offering mini sessions right now for Mother’s Day. And that’s coming up, you can get just a gift certificate for Mother’s Day or you can actually schedule a mini session. Which is $185 and you get a 30 minute session with 15 digital negatives.
Wow, mom, hope you’re not watching. Lot of great stories there, thank you Christina for sharing some of what you do in our community and why you enjoy it so much. So thanks really appreciate it!
Thanks Paula!
