When selling your home, stale is not what you want to be. There are no rules as to when a home gets stale, but we want to avoid it all costs, and know, we all want the very most when getting our home, right? I’m the same way when I sell. However, we have to look at the data and what it tells us the home is worth. After the initial listing, when the house gets the most interest, the longer the house has been on the market, the more buyers ask what’s wrong with this home?
Most often, price, condition and location are not in line when a house doesn’t sell. Since we can’t change the location of a home, we want to make sure that the price and condition are appropriate and in line. Condition is something we for sure can change, but this really should happen before the house is listed and not while it’s listed. Buyers use days on market to find out which houses are the freshest. Make sure that your home is the best that it can be before it hits the market. It’s so very important.
