Paula Quinn here at RE/MAX Central, I’ve got 5-7 of seven tips for you to help you sell your house faster and for more money.
Tip number five is to make sure that your buyers are all pre-qualified. Make sure that if you are looking at an offer that it includes the pre-approval so that you don’t waste time accepting an offer that may fall apart. A good pre-approval will be specific to your property and not just a generic letter stating the buyers are been pre-qualified. They could be pre-qualified for thousands less than what they are offering for your home, hoping to make it work, but causing your property to be off the market in the mean time.
Tip number six is to fill out your disclosures in detail. This can set you apart from other sellers and their homes. This will provide an extra level of trust for the buyers and ensure that they know exactly what they are making an offer on.
And most importantly, tip number seven, make sure that your house is priced right and that it’s show ready. Work with your realtor to understand comparable sales in your area and choose a price that is spot on. Don’t price high because you think it give your room to negotiate. If the home is priced right it will attract more buyers.
Showing your home may seem like an inconvenience, but making it available will allow a buyer to see your home and fall in love with it before they do another property.
