Not All Realtors Are the Same
So Stop me if you’d heard this one before. Every realtor is the same, right? Wrong.
Hi, this is Paula Quinn with RE/MAX Central.
Would you say that all doctors are the same? What about lawyers? No. What about tattoo artists? Uh-uh. Well, then why would people think that all realtors are the same?
Research shows that almost 90% of new realtors quit in the first five years. This isn’t a business for the faint of heart. A talented realtor understands marketing and negotiations and has been there and done that and can make a positive difference, even a positive difference of thousands of dollars to your bottom line. An inexperienced or unsuccessful realtor, on the other hand, can really cost you, like picking a tattoo artist who inks a permanent typo on your face. Or when it’s time for you to buy or sell a home, interview the agent or agents that you’re interested in working with, and here’s what to work for.
- First, everyone knows a realtor, but not everyone knows a successful, experienced realtor. Find an expert.
- Second, find a realtor that has your best interest at heart. They should inspire confidence. They should put you first, over and above their commission check, and you should expect nothing less.
- Finally, go with a realtor you like. They’re going to be your business partner throughout the entire transaction. Good rapport goes a long way working through obstacles together to get the job done. Don’t make a costly mistake and buy into the lie that all realtors are the same. Do your homework.
Find a realtor who is an expert, who has your best interest at heart and will work with you to get the job done. If you want to talk to an expert, call me. And don’t forget to share this video or tag someone you know who needs to buy or sell. We want you to love where you live.
