Why Stage Your Home
Hi, Paula Quinn with RE/MAX Central. Staging your property whether it’s vacant or occupied, often results in six to 8%, on average, selling for more money on the sale of your property.
Initially, I will do a walk through of your property and help you identify areas that you can stage your own home. This walk through will provide you basic steps like cleaning up and removing clutter. Often, it may mean downsizing the contents of your home to have it appear more simple without being cluttered with a lot of personal belongings.
Many of my clients will ask about doing updates or remodeling to help it selling for more money, but many times it is the simple things that make the most difference. Activities like cleaning carpet and painting will give you more bang for your buck when trying to get your property ready to put on the market and for selling it for more money.
There are also options for professional stagers who can come into your home, with furniture they bring, or simply by helping by repurposing and moving your furniture.
Additionally there’s also virtual staging with uses technology within the pictures of your home to better allow buyers to view what your home could look like once it is owned by them.
